Tilda Swinton is the new face of Chanel for the Paris-Edinbourg line campaign, shot of course by Karl Lagerfeld, creative director of the legendary French maison. Due to her Scottish roots, and extraordinairy beauty she seemed the perfect match for this project, and as Lagerfeld stated
"Tilda perfectly embodies the Paris-Edimbourg collection... She is of course Scottish, but more than that, she is a modern woman, a timeless icon of elegance,"
The Chanel Pre-Fall collection for 2013 was presented in Edinbourg, and the designs were driven by the Scottish tradition, including a lot of tartan and of course tweed, which was actually one of Gabrielle's Chanel most favorite fabrics.
