(DIORALOP) is the mirror word of Polaroid, the photographic technique this truly extravagant and alternative brand is based on.
Going through a series of chemical spills and their exposure to different temperatures, the Polaroid images are being formed and digitally printed in the UK, on nothing less than the best of fabrics. Subcultures, street style and several situations with an emotional impact are the main source of inspiration for the dynamic Croatian duo behind the label. Andreja Bistricic, being a graduate from Central St.Martins College of Art and design specializing in womenswear and having worked for the Alexander McQueen studio, with a love for cuts and deconstruction met Maja Merlic, an archittect with a strong sense of style and texture, in Zagreb, and together they launched Dioralop, a label addressing to the aware and uncompromising individual. Collections speak a different story each season, but what always stays the same is their focus on the quality of the pieces, the proportion and silhouette.
Dioralop has received amongst many critical acclaims an award for the category Best Young designers of Elle Magazine's Style awards. The label has also showcased their work in London Fashion Week (2012) and in CAPSULE fashion fair in Paris.
